I'm so sorry that you both had ...Kathy and Shirley,
I'm so sorry that you both had unsuccessful experiences. Kathy I did the transaction today at the Target off of Taylor St. in Houston. I was over there trying to get the free label maker at Staples (all sold out!) I'm not sure about why the prices were higher since we are in the same city. Prices usually at Target stay consistent from store to store in the same city except for regional or clearance items. I would hold up on buying the cereal and look at the other deals at other pharmacy/grocery stores. THEY WILL come in handy for stockpiling and you can definitely get better sales prices!!!

Regarding Overage: Target won't pay overage, but if the coupon amount (ex: $1.00) exceeds the value of the item purchased (ex:$0.98), the cashier must adjust the coupon down to the amount of the item. You won't get overage, but you can get free products, (you'll always be responsible for tax). Now some cashiers go ahead and push the full amount through like my sweet cashier did today (on a cashier by cashier basis. If you have a problem and the store manager won't fix it, Target's policy asks that you have the target manager call their Guest Relations department at (800) 440-0680. Such a pain, but unfortunately some cashiers and MANAGERS don't know their policy!

Here is the info from a Target Corporate email response regarding their coupon policy

- We'll accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits it.

- We can't give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item; in this case, we're able to adjust the value of the coupon to equal the price of the item.

I apologize for all your hassle. Just be prepared for the battle sometimes and trust me it will PAY OFF!!!Southwest Coupon Clipperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13887035695537198617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6182027164490862554.post-68219343319785983192009-05-06T23:06:00.000-05:002009-05-06T23:06:00.000-05:00I have only gone to Target a couple of times to us...I have only gone to Target a couple of times to use coupons, following the example posted here. (I am in Houston also) However, the price is always substantially higher and even with the coupon does not appear to be a bargain. Am I doing something wrong or not understanding how to use coupons at target. For example, cereal was never a bargain with $1 off coupon. Started at 3 or 4 dollars??? thanks I love learning all this.Kathy Gundlingnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6182027164490862554.post-57299299115733966412009-05-06T22:18:00.000-05:002009-05-06T22:18:00.000-05:00I tried to buy the bliss candy w/ the target coupo...I tried to buy the bliss candy w/ the target coupon and it beeped, cashier called mgr. over and she wouldn't let me use it on the bar, (bummed) also the kraft ez mac I was only able to use the b1g1 free Qpon.
