  2. Okay, I have a question on the money making deals. I did this Target transaction yesterday and things went well until I got to the fruit snacks, Axe shower gel and the Buddies soap bars. My question is how do you get around buying items that are cheaper then the coupon? The cashier would not honnor the coupons because they were more then the item I was purchasing. What should I do in the future to get around this problem? I was very frustrated when I didn't get those deals because I worked so hard in getting everything ready for the sale.

Also, I want to thank you for your advice on how to deal with Walmart on the internet coupons. Great idea on taking in the printed rules from their website.

  3. I have not experienced this at Target yet. I have had an unexperienced cashier who didn't understand their coupon policy

After reading multiple entries on this subject, it is my understanding that Target can’t give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item; However, if you have multiple items and a laid back cashier and use a filler item to absorb the overage there should not be a problem and you can have money maker items. Unfortunately in your case, you had a stickler cashier and in this case, they should have adjusted the value of the coupon to equal the price of the item making it FREE.

If you any problems with these scenarios, I would keep Target Guest Relations team number on hand (800) 440-0680. The cashier should have price adjusted.

    Hope that helps

  4. Thank, I'll have to try that or maybe just call over a Manager. Calling the 800 number might get you a gift card or something like that. That would be cool.
