Okay, how's everyone doing today? I decided to give an easy example of how coupons can help save money with the current deal at Walgreens on Gillette Shampoo. There are other deals HERE and HERE on other products at Walgreens this week, but I wanted to make it easy and simple. This is why buying items on sale and matching them with a coupon helps save money! Pefect time to stockpile!

Here are the following prices for Gillette Shampoo 12.2 oz. at the stores in my area in Houston.

CVS - $5.99

Kroger - on sale $3.79

Walgreens - on orange tag sale - $1.59

(4) Gillette Shampoo 12.2 oz - on sale $1.59/each at Walgreens

- (2) $1 MQ from P&G $120 savings coupon booklet

Use with - (2) B1G1 (Buy 1 Get 1 FREE) MQ from 5-3 PG

Final Cost = .30/each!!!!

So you could buy and stock up on 4 bottles (my husband LOVES this shampoo) at Walgreens this week (which ends Saturday) for $1.18 plus tax after coupons or buy 1 Full Price for around $6 plus tax at another store. Hmmmmmm 1 for $6 or 4 for $1.28. Let me see......which one do I choose?

Another way to look at it is if we bought the same 4 bottles, what is my cost before tax? Even without coupons

CVS - $5.99 x 4 = $23.96 (without coupons

Kroger - on sale $3.79 x 4 = $15.16 (without coupons)

Walgreens - $1.59 x 4 = $6.36 (without coupons)

Walgreens - $1.59 x 4 = $1.18 (with coupons)

Now just think if you could apply coupons to everything else you buy. Oh wait.....you can! Now that's tremendous savings!!
